Dewar’s 30-Year-Old Ne Plus Ultra (Latin for ‘the ultimate’) revives a label first used by the company in the early 1900s, and traditionally reserved for the brand's oldest and rarest whiskies. Dewar’s 30 YO NE Plus Ultra is a small batch release, sourced from the John Dewar & Sons private reserve. Each whisky in the blend has been aged for at least 30 years before being finished in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. The liquid is presented in a simple, "meticulously crafted" wooden presentation casket along with a certificate of authenticity signed by Stephanie Macleod, Dewar’s seventh master blender. The main bottle is accompanied by a 20cl sample so collectors can taste the whisky without opening the release.
